Sandaya Belle Plage is a bit rough around the edges but still has plenty to offer. It is also well situated for activities off-site which adds to the experience with Lorient being within reach by road, bike or public transport.
Our reasons for visiting this aire were multiple. We had previously stayed in the campsite in Pontorson and cycled past the aire on our way to Mont-Saint-Michel so we knew it was well situated. It is located close to Alligator Bay which the kids were keen to revisit and it was only a short drive from Cherbourg so would help keep us out of traffic.
Le Brasilia is one of the most comprehensively featured upmarket sites we have visited to date … and we’ve been to lots of sites.
I can’t imagine us spending a week here but when we were trying to take advantage of the good weather on our second visit we were happy to stay a second day and explore the area.
As described above this site is on the outskirts of Killarney and at the start of the Ring of Kerry. It’s an ideal stopover for touring south Kerry or for exploring Killarney. We were able to walk into Killarney in about 25 minutes.
Price-wise Sanguli isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for.
Location, location, location Mannix Point Camping and Caravan Park is located in the mouth of the river Fertha between some of the Iveragh peninsula’s many mountains, Valentia and Foughil island. As a value proposition alone Dick’s Field is a winner but it’s more than just good value. The town of Ardmore is an excellent place to spend a few days. The beach, the town and the cliffs provided us with plenty of options and things. Do bear in mind that we tend to be relatively active on our breaks and did the cliff walk with the kids every day. If walking with your children or bringing them to the beach is your idea of hell then your options might be more limited but at €15 per night (with children) it’s certainly worth a roll of the dice.
